These Terms govern your use of the Rendered and WildNest apps and the balddudeapps.com website, all provided by Bald Dude Apps, LLC. By creating an account or using the apps, you agree to these Terms.
1.The apps
Rendered is a planning, logging, and recipe-evolution app for home cooks. WildNest is a household-organization app for families and roommates. The two apps share a single sign-in, so one account works in both. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
2.Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. You’re responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account.
In WildNest, an account admin may add household members, including minors. If you add or supervise a minor, you are responsible for that person’s use of the app, for the information you provide about them, and for obtaining any consent required by law. You agree you have the authority to do so.
3.Subscriptions, billing, and free tiers
Some features are offered through paid subscription tiers. Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel through the relevant store before the renewal date; manage or cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Prices and tier contents may change, with notice as required. Except where the law or the store’s policy requires, payments are non-refundable.
4.Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create — your recipes, cook logs, lists, messages, photos, and the rest. You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate and provide the apps to you and your household. This includes sending recipe or cook content to our AI provider when you use Rendered’s AI features, and syncing content between Rendered and WildNest when you use the integration.
5.Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the apps for anything unlawful, or to harass, threaten, or harm others (including within WildNest messaging);
- upload content you don’t have the right to use;
- attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with the apps or their infrastructure;
- resell or commercially exploit the apps without our permission.
6.Cooking guidance and AI features — important
Rendered’s timings, temperatures, and AI are aids, not guarantees
Cook timelines, suggested temperatures, decision points, scaling math, and any output from the AI Recipe Builder or Cook Coach are informational tools to assist you — not professional, food-safety, dietary, or medical advice. They can be inaccurate or incomplete.
You are solely responsible for safe food handling, including cooking foods to safe internal temperatures and following recognized food-safety guidance. Do not rely on the app as your only source for food safety. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for cooking results, spoilage, allergic reactions, or foodborne illness.
7.Third-party services
The apps rely on and connect to third-party services (including Apple, Google, AWS, and any calendar provider you link). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we’re not responsible for them.
8.Disclaimers
The apps are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the apps will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost.
9.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bald Dude Apps, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the apps. Our total liability for any claim relating to the apps will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $99 USD.
10.Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bald Dude Apps, LLC from claims arising out of your content, your use of the apps, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others.
11.Termination
You may stop using the apps and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the apps or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licenses already exercised, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.
12.Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
13.Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, give more prominent notice. Continuing to use the apps after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
